THORNBURY BREWERY CHANGING THE BEER GAME

Melbourne’s oldest independent brewery is set to transform the way their beer is made and become a leader in sustainable brewing thanks to help from the Andrews Labor Government.

Minister for Agriculture, Jaclyn Symes and Member for Northcote, Kat Theophanous visited 3 Ravens Brewery yesterday to congratulate general manager Nathan Liascos on the $200,000 Small-Scale and Craft Program grant, which will see them adopt an Australian-first in thermodynamic cycle technology to significantly reduce their carbon footprint.

The award-winning Thornbury brewery will implement state-of-the-art technology that revolutionises the heating and cooling methods within the brewing process to minimise waste and improve efficiency.

The new technology will not only deliver environmentally sustainable solutions but also supercharge the business’s growth through cost savings and improved productivity.

These advancements will position 3 Ravens Brewery as an industry leader in sustainable practices and inspire other businesses to implement similar technologies.

This innovative project will allow 3 Ravens Brewery to employ more staff and support local businesses as well as develop new products and pursue export opportunities.

The Small-Scale and Craft Program is a four-year initiative that delivers on the Government’s commitment to support the growth of Victorian small-scale producers.

Stream Two provides grants of up to $200,000 for significant projects that deliver benefits to the community, generate jobs, increase tourism and encourage collaboration amongst the sector. For more information visit the Business Victoria website.
