HAVE YOUR SAY ON THE RENEWAL OF FORMER TRANSPORT LAND IN ALPHINGTON

Residents, traders and commuters are encouraged to share their thoughts on the future of 1.28 hectares of Victrack land known as the Grange Spur in Alphington, with a consultation process now open.

Located at the corner of Grange and Heidelberg roads, the Grange Spur once formed part of the historic Outer Circle Line. In more recent times it has been used by the Level Crossing Removal Project.

VicTrack looks to revitalise surplus land, re-invest in the public transport system and balance community needs. As part of its long-term planning for this site, VicTrack is engaging with local residents and stakeholders to better understand what is important to them in considering future uses of the land.

The insights from this consultation will inform the next round of engagement as part of the development of a masterplan in 2023.

This is a unique opportunity to activate this space and support a variety of purposes, whether it be residential, open space, active transport links, community assets and social infrastructure.

The local community is asked to share their views through the community consultation survey now open on the Engage Victoria website at engage.vic.gov.au

This survey will close on Friday 7 October 2022.
