northcote Primary SchooL

Upgrade & Modernisation

Investment: $3.16 million
Status: Completed

The students of Northcote Primary now have an extra reason to enjoy being back to school.

The State Labor Government funded a $3.16 million modernisation of the schools main building including giving it a brand-new entrance.

Additionally, the new facilities are now ready to go, with blocks A and C of the school being extensively refurbished. These works have ensured that the students of Northcote continue to receive a world class education in the best possible facilities, ensuring that they have the necessary spaces to grow and thrive in.

Furthermore, these works have upgraded the schools essential services, and ensuring that they can continue to be delivered.

But as works were undertaken a very precious surprise was discovered. As workers carried out demolition works in preparation of the refurbishment, they discovered the original chalkboards were adorned with hand drawn artworks.

Thankfully the artworks have been saved and are once again enjoyed by Northcote Primary School Students - 60 years on!
