The 2020–21 Victorian state budget is unremarkable. It is unremarkable because fundamentally it is the continuation of five successive state Labor budgets which have been handed down with the same vision and the same determination, and that is to continue to build jobs and opportunities for Victorians and to reform our state to be stronger and fairer. This budget is no exception.

My adjournment is to the Minister for Energy, Environment and Climate Change, and the action I seek is that the minister join me in hosting a forum to discuss energy and the environment with the Northcote electorate.

The Victorian Government has recently announced a critical $251 million package of supports under the Licensed Hospitality Venue Fund – which will go a long way to helping countless pubs, restaurants, bars and cafes in my electorate of Northcote to get back on their feet once restrictions ease.
