The Andrews Labor Government is bringing 19 more kinders to life in growing areas of Victoria, with a new round of grants supporting planning for vital kindergarten building projects in Darebin.

Kat Theophanous today announced that Thornbury High School will be one of 12 new or expanded kindergartens set to open in early 2025 – together delivering almost 900 more free kindergarten places.

Darebin will be attracting more visitors, and boosting local jobs and the economy, with the Victorian Government investing $15,900 to help deliver the Family Jams Fest in Northcote and $12,000 to help deliver the Music from the Wetlands Festival in Alphington.
